Where AutoHotkey is strong
AutoHotkey is a free, open-source Windows scripting language licensed under GNU GPL v2. Hotkeys, text expansion and automation are at its centre, with an established community and extensive scripting documentation.
ImageSearch and PixelSearch provide built-in visual searches. You can write and maintain a script around the exact task you want to perform. If that solves your needs on your own PC, a paid automation service may not add enough value.
Build without writing code
TriggerFlow offers a recorder and workflow editor, or ChatGPT-assisted building in beta. OCR and AI vision actions are included in Business. You still need to select the checks and test the sequence in your own application; a visual editor does not remove the need to understand the task.
Support the work across PCs
AutoHotkey is a scripting language, so monitoring, alerting and remote control across PCs mean building or adding other tools.
TriggerFlow Pro includes a fleet dashboard, live screenshots, alerts, remote control, shared workflows and run history. For consultants, that can bring the work of supporting client devices into one place. Each client gets a separate account and licence key.
Choose around the work you maintain
Compare the cost of the product with the time spent building and maintaining the surrounding tools. TriggerFlow starts at £15 per device/month; Pro is £30 and Business £45. Try one representative workflow and a recovery scenario before deciding. There is no claim that one tool is the right answer for every application or every developer.
