What if a button moves or the screen changes?

Image matching can locate a recognisable button within a search region. It does not automatically adapt to every redesign: appearance, scale, theme and search area still matter.

Can I use it while my PC is locked?

Session and display conditions affect desktop automation. Validate the exact setup you intend to use; don’t assume a visible-interface workflow will continue when the session is locked or signed out.

Test on the real machine

Use the application version, display scaling, theme and search region that the deployed workflow will encounter. Check slow loads, missing windows and changed inputs. A correct result in a demonstration is not a substitute for testing on the target PC.

Check OCR quality and region

OCR depends on text quality and the selected region. Inspect the captured value before using it in a comparison or an action. Test a blank read, an unexpected value and the boundary where the next step changes.

Keep credentials in the vault, not in workflows

Store logins in the credentials vault and fetch them at run time, including one-time codes. Keep passwords, licence keys and customer data out of shared examples, screenshots and support messages. Confirm the right account is selected before testing a sign-in step.

Check provider credentials and charges

AI services may need separate provider credentials and may incur provider charges. A saved profile using standard local actions does not require a model call to repeat them; a profile that includes AI actions does. Review the configured actions and expected output before scheduling repeated runs.
